New concerns over the potential selling off of land threatening the viability of reinstating the Tunbridge Wells to Brighton railway

The Wealdenline Campaign are highlighting the danger of land along the route of the former Tunbridge Wells to Brighton line being sold off. With poor protection of the route in the Tunbridge Wells and Groombridge areas already increasing the cost of rebuilding the line, any further erosion of the trackbed will give our political masters extra excuses to say that reviving what was once a heavily used secondary main line is not economically justified.
